I just wanted to mark the occasion by making a blog post. Silly, perhaps, but oh well.

My MacBook Pro 15" came in yesterday. It's not one of the brand new models, but that's the point - the old ones were ridiculously on sale.

Until recently, I hadn't paid that much attention to all things Apple...but now that I have hopped aboard the bandwagon, I've found that there's a reason these things are popular amongst programmers. For a while, I felt that getting a Mac was really more of a fashion statement for people (as opposed to a thought-out decision on quality). The price point certainly encouraged that belief. But when they started showing up all over my CS classes, I looked into it.

And I'm excessively glad I did. This is cause for celebration.
